CO2 certificates for sale

Rotterzwam has been making a significant environmental impact since 2013. Since 2017, we've been working to quantify and map this impact. In 2020, our primary business activities generated 9,409 kilograms of CO2 . If your organization wants to offset its CO2 emissions, you can offset [part of] your CO2 emissions with Rotterzwam.

There's a substantial market for CO2 emission certificates or CO2 emission rights. There are even certificates that certify the emission certificates. Yes, really, your CO2 reduction management certificate can be linked to ISO 14001 certification!

We've always found the prices for offsetting 1,000 kilos of CO2 ridiculously low. For just a few euros, you can offset one ton of CO2. Even the government considered this to be on the low side in 2019 and therefore wanted to introduce a minimum price .

But can you really offset the environmental impact of CO2 emissions with just a few euros? We don't think so. If you consider the social costs of CO2 emissions, the damage could be much higher. Some calculations suggest a social cost of CO2 emissions of $417 per 1,000 kilograms. Link to the published article .

Year after year, we see that making an impact costs money. That's why this year, for the first time, we're making it possible to offset your own CO2 emissions by buying off [part of] your CO2 emissions through rotterzwam.

Because one of our corporate goals is to be CO2 negative with our primary business activities , we can offset up to 9,000 kilos of CO2 emissions for other organizations.

We do this entirely without certification, as we've been providing insight into our impact through our impact reports since 2017. Our impact goes beyond just CO2 reduction. It's also linked to the SDGs.

We offer nine certificates, each containing 1,000 kilos of fixed CO2, to offset [part of] your organization's CO2 emissions. For every 1,000 kilos, we ask for a minimum donation of €1,000. You are welcome to donate more.

Update 22-2-2021 : 8 certificates are still available. Bas van Ecke received the first certificate for 1,000 kilos.

But Rotterzwam is a commercial company, so why should I pay you such an amount? We use your contribution to invest in even greater impact. You can keep this in mind:

• rotterzwam runs completely without subsidies;
• The total payroll of all 7 people working at Rotterzwam in 2020 is €185,421.84, which is well below the Balkenende standard ;
• rotterzwam has been achieving tangible and visible impact since 2013.
