Scaling up to The Hague

Over the past few years, we've been able to share our knowledge with many entrepreneurs (for a fee). This has also led to the creation of several businesses. However, quite a few have already closed down, often because this business case requires a certain volume to be profitable. However, setting up a nursery requires significant investments, and the operating costs are high (a lot of labor = money).

To manage our overhead more efficiently and increase our volume, we want to establish a nursery in the The Hague region, and perhaps eventually in Amsterdam and/or Utrecht. Ludo de Gruiter completed a training course at rotterzwam a few years ago and has been working part-time as a ge-zwam grower for a few years now, running a single grow unit in the The Hague region. He has indicated that he cannot and does not want to scale up on his own. We see opportunities for rotterzwam to realize this scale-up together with Ludo.

The goal is to establish a mushroom farm in the The Hague region and thus supply the surrounding area with fresh mushrooms. This way, we can jointly promote mushroom cultivation and the sale of snacks and sausage rolls at a healthier margin.
