At Rotterzwam, we have quite a few plans for the future that we'd like to share with you. That's why we're organizing several online information sessions to explain these plans and engage with our supporters, stakeholders, fans, and ambassadors.
These meetings will take place on May 28th and June 10th & 19th from 8:00 PM to approximately 9:00 PM.

This is what we're going to talk about:
- We believe every city deserves a local mushroom farm . We've already trained over 100 people to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge to start their own farms. We're now taking things a step further by scaling up to The Hague. Rotterzwam and Gezwam are launching a crowdfunding campaign together to support this. We're happy to answer any questions you may have during this session.
- For the past 12 years, we've been converting some of our coffee grounds into substrate ourselves. However, this is very labor-intensive work and sensitive to external factors. Scaling up this process requires a different approach. We'll explain how we'll do this in the online session.
- Many small growers have their own snacks made, which, due to their small scale, is considerably more expensive compared to the market. There's a better way!
- Besides coffee grounds, there are other urban organic waste streams that can be used for mushroom cultivation. We see new opportunities to utilize these as well.
- Working in the nursery is good for the soul. There are many recurring activities that quickly yield results and provide inner peace. This offers opportunities for people who are distanced from the labor market, for example, and who are seeking this balance in a safe environment. We strive to create this environment for them and, in this way, make a local social impact .
- Mushrooms are being consumed by a growing number of conscious people. The use of functional mushrooms , such as Lion's Mane, is particularly popular. These supplements are usually sourced from outside the area, and their quality is therefore questionable. We can do better!
What do we expect from the participants during the session?
The sessions are interactive: participants are encouraged to ask any questions they may have. The aforementioned agenda items are a rough guide; there's ample room to deviate from some positions and/or delve deeper into others.
We hope to see you at one of these sessions!
